Healing

Image
November - July With time comes hope. In December (ish), we'll ultrasound and see what the prognosis is. In the meantime, Spring is happy and healthy and in the best place I could have ever found for her.

Just Spring Things

Spring moved to a retirement pasture to live with my old friend Nigel in mid December. Nigel was beyond thrilled with his new best friend. Spring, in true red mare fashion, was less than impressed. Peep Nigel strutting his stuff whilst Spring ignores him completely - they've become pals, though. They're about 40 minutes away and with the holidays I haven't gotten to visit as much as I'd like, but all reports are positive. Her leg wound has completely closed, and although her fetlock remains tragically low she gets around just fine and seems blissfully happy with her retirement life. I'm hoping that in time she will be deemed broodmare sound as her leg slowly continues to heal. She's such a fantastic horse, and I would love for her to have a future beyond pasture puff. Plus her bloodlines are 😍. Hope all is well with all of you!
